Passage from Zen Guitar

Beginning students often ask, "How long will it take me to get my black belt?" To them I say, you'll never earn a black belt so long as you ask that question. To be obsessed with the destination is to remove the focus from where you are. The only way to progress in Zen Guitar is to put everything into this step, right now.

This are the wise words of Philip Toshio Sudo.

The Next Project

So what I have been trying to do is create an online flow for viewing and responding to music that I am either working on or maybe just music in the scene here on Honolulu. Once this all takes off the ground then perhaps I can start doing some personal recordings again and screw around a bit with some more standards. Hopefully get some stuff out to you folks as soon as I can!

And the livin is easy. . .

This was at the Amplify! Cd release party featuring Darin Jitchaku on bass. He killed it that night with tasteful licks and fat lines. My Chevelle sounds totally different now with all the parts thrown around with new vibes. If you like it here, you will like it on June 4th @NextDoor Hnl!
